The Zodiac Killer, the pseudonym used for a still unidentified serial killer who became infamous in Northern California during the late 60s for carrying out a claimed 37 murders. The Zodiac case has been described as “arguably the most famous unsolved murder case in American history” and as a result, has been referenced numerous times in media and popular culture since.
Only five victims were ever confirmed, two of which survived their attacks, but unfortunately they were never able to identify the killer, and during his reign of terror, the Zodiac victimized all of the San Francisco Bay area with cryptic messages and ciphers mailed to regional newspapers, which threatened killing sprees and bombings if they were not published publicly. Some of these cryptograms have still not been deciphered, and the California Department of Justice maintains an open case file to this day on the Zodiac.

Nikola Tesla was a Serbian-American inventor and engineer, known for his contributions to the electric power industry with his design of the modern alternating current(AC) electricity supply system.
With the profits of his successes, Tesla pursued a number of other inventions and experiments, such as mechanical oscillators, electrical discharge tubes, early X-ray imaging, and even wireless communication, but most of these inventions never fully came to fruition within his lifetime.
After his death in 1943, the FBI seized Tesla's belongings for investigation, when it was purported he had a “death ray” within his series of inventions. This allegation proved to be false, but many of his experiments and inventions aided in the later development of technology we still use to this day.

Get ready for your own Life Sentence Escape Room by reading about one of the most infamous jailbreak attempts of modern history, where inmates Clarence Anglin, John Anglin, and Frank Morris attempted, and maybe succeeded, an escape from “The Rock”, Alcatraz Federal Penitentiary, located on Alcatraz Island off the coast of the San Francisco Bay.
In June of 1962, the Anglin brothers and Morris attempted an escape from the maximum security prison located on Alcatraz Island.
The men used papier-mache heads in their beds to fool guards, and fled through a ventilation duct under their cell’s sink, which they meticulously widened over a period of six months using saw blades, metal spoons, and an electric drill they crafted with the motor of a vacuum cleaner. They also made a rubber raft from raincoats and liquid plastic from the prison workshops, which they used to flee the island.
To this day, it is still unknown if the three men survived the escape, or if they met an ill fate in the frigid waters of the bay. None of their bodies have ever been recovered, though the raft itself was found shortly after the attempt. A number of sightings of the men have been reported in the years after their “escape”.

The Norco shootout resulted in eleven deaths, and massive amounts of damages to police vehicles, a helicopter and the nearby homes and businesses.
While the robbers attempted to flee, a shootout ensued outside the bank. Then, the robbers stole a car, leading authorities on a 40km pursuit into neighboring San Bernardino County, where they were eventually ambushed, which led to yet another shootout.
Upon capture, the surviving assailants were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. The event itself became infamous in popular culture and has led to both film and book adaptations.
