With the widespread adoption of hybrid work in most companies, we now offer remote games that you can enjoy from the comfort of your own home!
Here is everything you need to know about our virtual escape room experiences (which we also call remote escape games).
What is a virtual escape room?
Virtual escape rooms (or remote escape games) are an online version of the immersive escape rooms we offer at our location. You and your teammates can play from anywhere in the world while your in-room Game Master will be there to show you around and do all the physical elements.
How does it work?
After you make a booking you will receive a link to Telescape and Zoom (or other video conferencing platform). Through these two you will have access to your inventory and your Game Master. Your inventory will help you to keep track of what you find during the game and will let you take a closer look. You may also have a 360 view of the room so that you can have a look around independently. Your Game Master is in the room equipped with a camera, connecting you with a live feed to the room. Your Game Master will be able to hear you and talk with you so they can tell you what they discover and complete actions you ask of them. You can either play the game using two screens so you have the inventory on one and the live feed from your Game Master on the other, or you can use just one screen with your inventory on one half and your Game Master on the other.
What do I need?
All you need is a computer and internet connection. When you book you are sent a link to Telescape – this will be your inventory. Through this you will get an access link to Zoom – this is where you will communicate with the Game Master and see what is going on in the room. We recommend using the Zoom app as Zoom from a web browser has limitations that can negatively affect your experience.
I don’t have Zoom. Can I still play?
Zoom is a free app that you can download here. Alternatively, when you receive your game link and click to get to Zoom it will ask you to download the app. If Zoom isn’t an option but you have another preferred video conferencing tool just drop us an email (info@foxinabox.se) and we will see what we can do.
I don’t have a computer. Can I play from mobile/tablet?
Unfortunately not. Telescape is not currently supported on mobile/tablet and this is a very important part of the game.

How can I pay?
Payments can be made by invoice, voucher/gift card or payment link. Payments cannot be made over the phone.
How many players can participate?
Each virtual escape room experience is recommended for two to eight players, but realistically any number of players can be in a single game. For larger groups we would recommend being split across multiple games, each with their own Game Master. We have four Final Exam boxes, so up to 32 can be accommodated for this game. Can more than one person play from the same device?
Of course! Reservations are made for players, not devices. If you have more than one player on a single device, each of those players would require a paid reservation.
How much does it cost?
The starting price is from 2000 SEK.
How old must players be?
Ages 10 and above is recommended, but everyone is welcome to play. Young players may find the games more challenging but the Game Master will be able to guide them in the right direction and give them more assistance if needed.
